UPDATE: As of Monday afternoon, all but one of the aforementioned subjects have been released from custody.

Valparaiso City Police detained a dozen people, many of them VU students and several football players, on alcohol-related charges this past weekend.
According to the police report obtained by VUTV, Valparaiso City Police officers arrived to the 200 Block of Valparaiso St. late Saturday night in response to a noise disturbance call. It was there they found a party in progress and spoke to the host. While speaking to him, officers then discovered subjects running out the back door of the residence. Approximately a dozen were able to escape the scene through the backyard, while multiple were detained there.
In all, twelve were booked through the Porter County jail Saturday night. The list includes four VU football players: Defensive Backs Jalin Leandre for furnishing alcohol to a minor (B-Misd.), Tramone Duncan and Cameron Kelly for minor in possession of alcohol (C-Misd.), and Wide Receiver Daniel Larose for minor in possession of alcohol.
Other subjects include students Teri Easter, Destiny Tate, and Katherine Locher for minor in possession of alcohol, as well as Glenndon Bone, Raquel Haro, and Yajaira Navarro for furnishing alcohol to a minor. There are two subjects that have not been confirmed by VUTV as students of the university: Dervin Figuereo-Santana and Trieveonna Hardiman, both of whom were arrested on minor in possession of alcohol.
